Creed of the Black Iris

Sixteen years a fool. One strike to rule them all.

In the desert kingdom of Al-Zahra, everyone knows Tariq: the Grand Vizier's second son, a spoiled wastrel who throws gold around music halls, ignores his jinn bond and shames his family at every turn. But his mother died when he was a boy, and for sixteen years Tariq has played the fool under the roof of the woman he believes is responsible. Now three northern armies are camped outside the walls, and the Sultan has staked his only daughter's hand on a tournament that will decide the fate of the kingdom. In the arena, a masked warrior known as the Black Iris Knight is waiting, and the useless heir is about to show Al-Zahra what one strike can do.
